Caterpillar Room (Under Two's)

Our Caterpillar Room is divided into 2 rooms, the toddler room and sensory room. These have a free flow access to provide plenty of room for young children to explore and participate in our rich, stimulating activities.

In our sensory room, we primarily ensure a safe environment full of resources that enrich the senses for our babies to explore in order to support vocalisations and development in the prime areas.

In our toddler room, we ensure a relaxed environment with the provision of designated areas to support all seven areas. These include; role play area, writing table, small world area, physical development section and numeracy area. All equipment and resources are adapted to a child's level, to encourage independence, confidence and individuality in carrying out small, manageable responsibilities throughout their sessions. Although children are encouraged to be independent in choosing their own activities, we also provide our toddlers with appropriate challenges through adult-planned activities in order to support their learning and development.
